The much awaited Salman Khan starrer Sultan and Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees was supposed to clash on the happening Eid. But it didn’t happen. Fans were waiting eagerly to see the clash of the Khan’s at the box office. Sultan has released this Eid while Raees is postponed to next year.
While celebrating Eid yesterday with media, Shah Rukh Khan openly talked about his film Raees postponed. He revealed why the clash was avoided. Shah Rukh Khan talked about how both the films would have suffered. If both were released at the same time and end up not at the expected collection.
He said the budget of the film would suffer if the film is not released on around 4,000 screens and it needs to have around 10,000 theatres for the release of two big films together, and this cannot happen.”
And I don’t think Bollywood can handle Raees and Sultan at the same time.
Shah Rukh Khan later added I was injured during the film and there are body shot portions and some parts that I still have to shoot. The film is ready and we thought for an alternative date in this year but didn’t find.
Hopefully, the film would be releasing in January 2017.
