National Film Awards 2016: Amitabh Bacchan(BIG B), Kangana Ranaut honored with National Awards 2016. The 63 rd National Film Award Ceremony was held at the Vigyaan Bhawan.

This was held in Delhi and Big shot like Amitabh Bachchan, actress Kangana Ranaut won award for best actor role for Piku and Best Actress award was won by Kangana Ranaut for Tanu Weds Manu returns. Baahubali won best special effects and best film award. All these prestigious awards were given by Honorable president of India Mr Pranab Mukherjee.
Legend Manoj Kumar who played the role of Bhagat Singh half a century ago won Dada Saheb Phalke Award. He started his career long time back in year 1957 and has been very famous actor for his films like ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’, ‘Purab Aur Paschim’ and ‘Shaheed’ and many more. He also added few lines saying he never retired, once a soldier, always a soldier.”With all the ups and downs in his life he never lost heart.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali won best director award for film ‘Bajirao Mastani along with Remo D’Souza who received best choreographer award for same film. The best Production design, Cinematography and Best Sound Designing awards also went to ‘Bajirao Mastani’. Salman Khan Movie ‘Bajrangi Baijaan’ was accorded upon by the Best Popular Film honour. ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ won best lyrics awards; special jury award was given to ‘Margarita with a Straw’. Best On-location Audiography award was won by Talvar movie. While Monali Thakur won the best play back Singer award for ‘Mohmohkedhaage’ for ‘ movie Dum Laga Ke Haisha’.
